Job Description
The Role
Reporting to the Land Access Manager, the Land Access Advisor is responsible for undertaking assigned Land Access Statutory Approvals (LASA) works in a timely and quality manner while ensuring all aspects of the Telecommunications Act 1997 and the Telecommunications Code of Practice are applied and adhered to in the production of detailed designs, field inspections and construction activities.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of land access, stakeholder engagement and statutory approval functions and requirements,
Assist in resolving escalated land access, stakeholder engagement and statutory approval matters as appropriate,
Produce Land Access deliverables including Planning Assessment Reports, notifications, Review of Environmental Factors, Heritage Management Plans
Develop and manage the implementation of a state-based statutory approval authority and internal/external stakeholder engagement program,
Act as a Subject Matter Expert to state-based functional staff in dealing with operational, guidance, policy, statutory & legal matters, cross train other team members as required.

You:
To secure an interview for this great local opportunity, it is desirable to meet the following:
Relevant qualifications in Town Planning/Environmental Sciences,
Minimum 2 years industry experience in Land Access procedures in complex CAN and IEN networks and associated infrastructure.
Proven working understanding of Telecommunications Act 1997, Federal Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC) 1999 requirements for land use and construction-related activities.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, as you will liaise with team members from different disciplines, clients, and government agencies to ensure delivery of innovative solutions that meet client and broader community expectations.
Extensive town planning or environmental science work experience,
Considerable knowledge of the strategies, methods, techniques, and practices of telecommunication construction,
Knowledge of health, safety, environment and quality regulations and legal requirements.
High level of attention to detail, and strong competency with GIS programs and MS Office Suite.
