We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated Project Officer with a strong administrative background preferably within the telecommunications or civil construction sector. This permanent full-time position is based at our Campbellfield office, where you will have the opportunity to work amongst a team of professional and passionate colleagues.

Job Description

The Role

The Project Officer is responsible for providing high level administrative expertise and support to the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of projects as directed.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensure any necessary utility and access authority applications are processed and completed in accordance with schedule requirements,
  • Prepare PO requisitions ensuring PO's are created and closed out when completed,
  • Assist with the compilation, analysis and reporting of project and financial data,
  • Assist in the management of subcontract administration including timelines, artefacts and payment reconciliations,
  • Collate and check groups timesheets ensuring validity of job codes, ensuring timesheets are presented within payroll deadlines,
  • Provide regular progress reports to and as directed by the Project Manager to ensure and evidence resource optimisation on all projects.
  • Job scheduling and assignment
  • Subcontractor engagement
  • Administration of work non-conformances
  • Coordination and administration of variations (customer and subcontractor)
  • Engagement and coordination of field supervisory staff
  • Reporting and analysis

 

Desired Skills and Experience

You:

To secure an interview for this great local opportunity, it is desirable to meet the following:

  • Experience preparing project completion documentation,
  • Experience providing project administration and coordination support,
  • Experience using reporting systems, flowcharts, schedules, etc,
  • Experience in project review, including delivery and financial data,
  • Some knowledge of civil construction and telecommunications,
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Project, SharePoint,
  • Knowledge of negotiation techniques and strategies to influence others,
  • Construction Induction White Card.
