The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Finance professional with Management Accounting experience to drive improvements in company reporting, cash flow management, and budgeting/forecasting modelling. This is a hands-on opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and make a real impact.

This position offers the flexibility to work from your home office, providing the perfect balance between professional growth and a flexible, supportive work environment. Office days will be mutually agreed upon.

Job Description

The Role:

Acting as the Management Accountant, you’ll work directly with the Financial Controller and CFO to improve accuracy, timeliness, and control across finance operations. You will lead financial transformation in a flexible, senior-level contract role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance month-end reporting processes across finance functions.
  • Re-build and implement rolling budget and forecast models for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
  • Analyse and reconcile historical financial data to confirm the accuracy of reporting.
  • Develop and document policies and procedures supporting financial workflows.
  • Create a comprehensive Risk, Controls, and Compliance manual aligned with J-SOX standards.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and Financial Controller to embed improvements into financial systems.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You:

  • CPA/CA qualified with senior-level experience in company reporting and financial modelling,
  • Proven expertise in managing company cash flows and forecasting,
  • Strong commercial acumen and hands-on approach to problem-solving,
  • Excellent communicator with experience engaging across all levels,
  • Industry exposure to construction, job costing, or project accounting,
  • Proficient in MYOB (or similar ERP) and advanced Excel skills.
