The Opportunity 

We are looking for a motivated and career-focused Project Officer to join our team and support the successful delivery of telecommunications projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has already gained some experience in project coordination, project administration or as a graduate or emerging project professional who is eager to develop into a Project Manager over time. 

Based in our Yatala office, you will work closely with Project Managers and key internal stakeholders to help keep projects on track, well-documented and running efficiently.

Job Description

The Role 

The Project Officer is responsible for providing high level administrative expertise and support to the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of projects as directed.  

Duties will include but not be limited to: 

  • Ensure any necessary utility and access authority applications are processed and completed in accordance with schedule requirements, 

  • Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to subcontractor partners for relevant project components. 

  • Assist with the creation of simplex project quotes, 

  • Prepare PO requisitions ensuring PO's are created and closed out when completed, 

  • Assist with the compilation, analysis and reporting of project and financial data, 

  • Assist in the management of subcontract administration including timelines, artefacts and payment reconciliations, 

  • Collate and check groups timesheets ensuring validity of job codes, ensuring timesheets are presented within payroll deadlines, 

  • Provide regular progress reports to and as directed by the Project Manager to ensure and evidence resource optimisation on all projects. 

Desired Skills and Experience

You: 

To secure an interview for this great opportunity, it is desirable to meet the following: 

  • Project support across schedules, documentation, and reporting,

  • Demonstrated experience in estimating project costs is highly regarded, 

  • Strong stakeholder coordination, with the ability to influence and support delivery outcomes,

  • Understanding of telecommunications or civil construction environments,

  • Experience with project systems, schedules and tracking tools (MS Project, Excel, SharePoint),

  • Construction Induction White Card.
